A beautiful Victorian sterling silver locket and collar necklace.

Fancy chunky, double rolo link chain with large spring ring fastener that holds the locket and fastens the chain.

The locket itself has a square gadrooned outer border and all over engraving of fern leaves, one side is lined with a blue paper.

The locket is fully Hallmarked for sterling silver, Birmingham, 1881, maker Edwin Alfred Marsh.

Internally it has the lion passant and date letter, bale stamped with the lion passant, the chain is unmarked but tests as sterling silver.

A gorgeous chunky Victorian statement necklace.

Condition:
Good used condition overall, lots of rich patina, light surface wear and scratches commensurate with age, locket has a very small split in the join of the panel at the front and inner rim a bit loose, see photos.

Approx measurements:
Locket - 1¾" height and 1.5" width, 2¼" height with bale
Chain - 19" length and each link is just under 0.5" width

Locket and chain weighs approx 40.65 grams combined.
