A beautiful pair of vintage Russian 'Easter' egg earrings.
They are drop earrings in heavy silver gilt with cobalt blue enamelling and guilloche enamelled bow tops.
The egg drops are set with tiny ruby paste cabochons with criss crossing of golden gilt, the eggs are suspended from the pretty bow tops which are further suspended from ear wire fittings.
The earrings were marked on the tiny bale of one egg but this is very worn, likely 960 as they test as 925 or higher.
The ear wires are a replacement.
Based on the ever popular design of the famous Faberge egg jewels, they are extremely pretty and very well made with a great sense of luxury and decadence.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, some signs of use and wear commensurate with age, some minor surface wear to the gilding on the back of the bow, one ear wire slightly bent.
Approx measurements:
