Victorian Scottish agate and Amethyst brooch, sterling silver

A stunning antique, late Victorian era Scottish silver, agate and Amethyst brooch / pin.

It is a large brooch with a floral design, the scrolling silver border is beautifully engraved and set with crescent panels of polished agate.

To the centre there is a huge faceted Amethyst stone, slightly raised in a prong setting, the stone is a really good size approx 20ct.

It has an old C type clasp fastener and a base metal safety chain and pin, marked on the reverse Sterling silver, c1890s, Victorian era.
