Gift wrapping and packaging
We can offer a gift wrapping service this will incur an extra postage cost of £4.89 per item and will be the standard gift wrapping service.
Names and/or personal messages can be included or tags left blank for the buyer to complete.
Please ensure to choose the gift wrap method when completing your purchase.
Where gift wrap is not purchased you can still add a free gift message but packages will be wrapped in our brand wrapping.
Shipping items with value over £50 GBP
All of the listings in our shop with a value over £50 GBP are dispatched using a tracked service.
This is to secure compensation should the item be lost or damaged in the post.
We are unable to use uninsured services as if a package becomes lost in transit or if it is damaged we will need to make a claim through the shipping company to recoup the cost of the item and delivery charges.
Condition of items
All of our antique and vintage treasures are age verified, where something has been described as antique it will always be 100 years old or more, it will be used and may have defects, wherever possible we will photograph and describe any defects, if you have any questions or queries relating to any of our antique goods please get in touch.
Antique and vintage items are usually in a worn and/or used condition, unless the listing states otherwise then you should presume that the item you are purchasing is NOT in a new condition, they will show signs of wear and use.
Please ensure that you have read the description carefully and asked any questions prior to purchase.
Fine and antique jewellery
All of our fine vintage and antique jewellery has been checked and tested, where there are defects we will do our best to photograph and describe them, if you require any further information on any of our jewellery products please get in touch.
Please note that we can offer resizing services, this is currently charged at £35 per size, it takes between 7-14 days for resizing depending on the workload.
All our fine and antique jewellery products are dispatched fully tracked and insured for complete peace of mind.
We use Royal Mail and DHL.
For items in our shop that have a value over £100 GBP we offer you the opportunity to purchase on a layaway basis.
Layaway plans require a 10% down payment and the cost can be spread across 4, 6, 8 or 12 months.
Please do get in touch with us to discuss your requirements.
If you wish to cancel your layaway plan at any time during the plan we will retain 10% of the item cost as a restocking fee the remaining minus any currency conversion fees will be returned to you, if a policy is abandoned and we are unable to make contact within two weeks of the installment due date it will be cancelled and the full amount held for 30 days after which it will be retained.
Returns and refunds
We accept returns for any reason so if you are unhappy with your item/s you can return it/them to us for a full refund including the initial postage cost paid, return postage is paid by the buyer, please see our returns policy for further information.
If your item arrives damaged then please contact us, we use insurance, we will put in a claim with the relevant shipping company used so please retain the original packaging for photograph evidence if required.
Our insurance covers lost packages, each postal/zip code will have a maximum delivery time attached to it by the mailing office, only after this time has elapsed will the mailing company accept a claim for lost packages and a refund can be processed.
Reservation of items
Reservation of items is welcome.
The standard time for us to hold an item is 7 days with a 10% deposit fee for holding which is non-returnable.
Longer periods can be arranged with prior discussions and are subject to our discretion.
If the item/s are not purchased following the agreed time frame then the 10% deposit is retained by us.
This policy and the reservations system is in place to protect us and customers who genuinely wish to reserve as non payments and failure to contact on held items prevents items from being otherwise sold.

Can I visit you?
We are an online only business, the office address is provided to you for correspondence only.
We do not hold or have 24 hour access to any of our stock and it is held off the office premises in secure holdings, please bear this in mind when contacting us with any questions you may have regarding an item.
Customer's are unable to view stock as it is held in a secure facility premises and we do not have authority to allow persons to enter.
All images, listing text, trademarks etc. Within our Etsy shop are Copyrighted to us StolenAttic and StolenAttic.com.
No images, descriptions, business names or trademarks of our business StolenAttic may be used, altered, distributed, downloaded without our explicit permission.
Images may be shared on social media using the share buttons provided.
Please email us with any such requests.
Unpermitted use of our website material or the material we use on Etsy and its partner website will be treated as illegal copyright infringement.
Customs charges and taxes
Please note that the cost of shipping does not include any additional costs / fees that may arise as a result of customs charges.
In many countries there is often a customs / duty tax to pay on international packages over a particular threshold.
These fees and taxes vary and it is the responsibility of the buyer to check this prior to purchase.
