Signet rings derive their name from the Latin for signature, they were popular throughout history in men's jewellery and were often carved with family crests or signatures and used as stamps or intaglios, later they remained popular as a fashion choice and they have remained a popular piece of mens jewellery since their creation.

Good used condition overall, some surface wear and some surface scratches to the gold, commensurate with age, a little mis-shaping to the band and some wear dark marks to the inner band, previous resize but very well done.

Approx weight: 3.15g.

Ring head 12mm, band 2mm.
