A charming antique Georgian pocket compass.
English make it comes in a mahogany case with a small brass catch for closure.
Gilt brass bezel and blued steel needles under the original glazing.
The needle is activated by means of a small brass detent when opened.
Appears to be working but accuracy not guaranteed.
Good condition overall, no chips or cracks, a little age commensurate wear to the outer mahogany case and some marks underneath the glass.
