A beautiful antique 9ct yellow gold seal fob.
It is a spinning fob, cased in decorative floral engraved gold, one side set with a smooth dark green bloodstone and the other with a carved sardonyx bearing initials.
The initials, in fancy script, appear to be JW or IW.
The top of the seal is shaped intricately like a lyre with an integral loop at the top.
The bloodstone remains un-carved so this could be personalised.
It is unmarked, tests as 9ct gold, William IV era c1830's.
Would make a beautiful pendant, Albert chain fob or bracelet charm.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, there is a small hole in the gold in the lyre, the bale at the top has been replaced with a base metal one, there is evidence of soft solder on the piece.
