An interesting antique, 19th century, musical smokers stand.
A figural piece featuring a man in period costume dancing made from unpainted spelter, there are two small barrels for cigars and matches and cigar spikes to the front.
There is a small pin on the top which is related to the music mechanism.
The base is made from ebonised wood and stands on 4 small bun feet, to the front there is a striker and underneath the base the key can be found to wind the music box which is concealed in the base panel.
There are remnants of an old label but this is very worn, mostly worn away.
Late 19th century, German make.
Good used condition overall, some age commensurate wear, a ding to the large barrel, general signs of use, scuffs and scratches, commensurate with age, the music box winds and plays well with no obvious faults.
8.5" height and 6.5" diameter at the base.
