A fantastic set of Antique Victorian surgeons tools and medical collectables.

There are two separate cases, one small leather bound case with steel and ebony tools and an antique mahogany case with a brass shield shaped lock but no key.

The mahogany case contains a number of 19th century and 20th century medical tools from vein clamps to forceps / cutters.

There is also a small bovine bone pencil with a number of loose leads in a pot.

This set has been largely untouched from the previous owner and one of the most amazing things about this set is that it comes with a scroll holder filled with original documents for the doctor who owned the tools, from university degrees to medical registration papers, all dated in the 1880s, Edinburgh.

The documents are rolled and enclosed in an antique copper painted scroll holder.

There are a range of items from 1890 to later within the larger case.

A great collectors piece for your cabinet of curiosities, displays very nicely and has a great rustic feel to it, it is a rare find to come with original documentation and provenance.

Good used condition overall, wear commensurate with age, some light rusting to metal components, mahogany case has some wear and some indented writing to the top (not ink) with initials, the inner of the boxes velvet lining significantly worn, some documents with wear and tears, larger ones good condition, scroll holder with loss of paint.

Approx measurements:
Mahogany case:
1.5" height
4.5" length
10" width
Scroll holder:
