A fantastic early 20th century 18ct gold stick pin or cravat pin with an Essex Crystal intaglio of a fly fishing lure.
Edwardian era it is made by Tiffany and Co, marked on the reverse along with 18k.
The pin is also 18k, unmarked but tested, the stick pin is an early conversion piece and looks to have been made from a cufflink, the conversion is as old as the pieces themselves and has been professionally carried out.
The lure is in red and black and is highly realistic.
Perhaps the gentleman preferred a cravat pin to cufflinks.
So this is really a one of a kind piece!
Comes boxed in an antique pin box, it would make a lovely gift, particularly for the fly fisherman in your life.
Just under 2¼" length, 0.5" width at the top and weighs 3.12 grams.
Condition is good overall some light surface marks and a tiny appearance of soft solder on the back, the box has some wear (see photos)
