This one of a range of books in a similar style written by Walter Crane, baby's opera is as noted by the author old nursery rhymes in New dresses, songs from the old masters.
The other books being the baby's own aesop and baby's bouquet.
Beautifully illustrated throughout.

The spine on the book is cracked and weak and has come away at the sides internally, still all attached but with much fraying, it has some tape repairs on page tears throughout.
Lots of drawing in pencil and crayon in the front on the pastedown and title page, also in the back.
Possibility to restore the book is still good but not necessary.
Pardoning the above defects mentioned the pages are nice and strong and majority in tact and readable.
This is a highly collectable book and commands a much higher price in mint condition, it has been read and read and loved over the years and it shows.
