Designed and printed in England and bound in Germany.
Thick cushioned leather binding with heavy embossed design and gilt lettering, the album contains 12 fine chromolithograph plates of various famous historical battle scenes by Captain Bunnett.
There are numerous Victorian and later photographs throughout the album including some post mortem photography.
There is a heavy brass clasp that holds the album closed and when opened this releases a pin that plays the music.
So much history and interest rolled into one book.
Lots of wear to the covers, cracking, fraying and wear to the spine, overall weakness within the spine, internally the pages are nice and strong, there is some age related foxing and tanning a couple of tears in the paper slips, music box has some surface wear but it winds and plays nicely.
