Vintage budgie brooch, Sterling silver, Enamel and Marcasite

An interesting vintage budgie brooch.

It is made from sterling silver and finished in brightly coloured yellow enamel with marcasite and highlighted with white, black and blue enamels.

A good little solid piece, weighty for the size, it fastens on the reverse with a safety style clasp and pin fastener.

Marked silver, mid century era, c1950s.

Good used condition overall, overall aged patina, some enamel losses to the body and tail.
