Vintage parrot brooch, Sterling silver, Enamel and Marcasite

An interesting vintage parrot brooch.

It is made from sterling silver and finished in brightly coloured enamels with marcasite and he has a red paste eye.

A good little solid piece, weighty for the size, it fastens on the reverse with a safety style clasp and pin fastener.

The parrot stands on a leafy branch also enamelled in a vibrant green enamel.

Unmarked, mid century era, c1950s, tests as sterling silver

Condition:
Good used condition overall, overall aged patina, some enamel losses to the body and tail.
