A charming antique, early 19th century 3 draw pocket telescope.
A beautiful piece of field history, this telescope is in fine condition for its age.
It has a smooth mahogany grip and sliding aperture at the eye piece.
It extends by three sections all made of brass and has a clear lense, the third section is engraved with the makers mark for G & C Dixey, Opticians to the King, along with the 3 Bond Street Address where they operated from 1825 - 1838.
G & C Dixey were a very renowned manufacturer in scientific and optical instruments.
The telescope does not come with a lense cap but does have the original leather covered card sleeve though this lacking each end.
Condition:
Good used condition overall with age commensurate wear to the wood and a rich patina to the brass, good clear lense and eyepiece.

5.25" retracted length
