A gorgeous antique, late Georgian era paste Cross pendant.

A sterling silver cross adorned with rows and rows of rose cut 'diamond' paste set into a closed back setting.

The centre featuring a tiny floral design.

The cross has a paste adorned bale added in 9ct rose gold making it perfect for adding to a neck mess or a nice silver longuard chain.

It has an interesting and aesthetic shape to it.

Paste is a type of Flint glass, specially hand cut and designed, used for centuries as an alternative to diamonds and gemstones with its roots going way back to the Roman empire, paste jewellery was highly sought after in the 18th and 19th centuries and is very collectable today.
Marks and era:
Late Georgian era, c1800s, tests as sterling silver and 9ct gold to the bale

Condition:
Good used condition overall, some surface wear and signs of use commensurate with age, overall patina, paste with some age related discoloration.
