Can I visit you? / Where are you based?

We are UK based and are an exclusively online business, we are happy to answer any questions you may have prior to purchase and we can provide extra photographs / videos upon request, we offer a comprehensive and hassle free returns policy so you can rest assured when buying with us.

 

Can I view before I buy? 

Since we are an exclusively online shop we are unable to offer viewings prior to purchase, we are always happy to provide extra information, pictures or videos to assist you in making a decision prior to purchase, please note that as all of our stock is held off site it may take up to 24 hours to provide any additional photos / videos.

 

Can I have my item resized or altered?

We are happy to offer the resizing of rings or minor alterations free of charge for orders over £250 GBP, please get in touch with us to discuss your requirements prior to ordering so we can ensure that an alteration is possible, some rings have a limit on how much resizing can be carried out without risking distortion to the setting, we always reviews on a case by case basis so just drop us a message and we will get back to you, items need to be purchased prior to the work being carried out and resized or altered items are exempt from our normal returns policy, they are treated as a custom order and only store credit will be offered in the event of return.

 

Do you offer credit?

We do not offer any type of credit or loan facilities, however we are happy to accept layaway and have a range of convenient plans to suit your needs, if you are interested in layaway please get in touch to discuss your requirements, you can also take advantage of Klarna payments or PayPal pay in 3 facilities when shopping with us to further help you spread the cost. 

 

Do you accept returns?

Do you sell on consignment / Can you sell my things?

This is not something we offer here at StolenAttic, we are unable to sell on behalf of other individuals or organisations nor do we provide any type of private valuation services.

 

Are these items new?

No, All the items for sale on our site have been loved and cherished before reaching us, everything here will have been used before, we endeavour to provide you with the best descriptions possible and photographs of any known defects, if you have any questions though please don't hesitate to contact us.

 

Do you offer a guarantee or warranty? 

Antique and Vintage jewellery is not newly manufactured jewellery and it has been loved and worn before, we do not provide any guarantees on how long it will last and due care should always be taken when wearing and caring for the jewellery, at times it may require further maintenance or repair just like any other piece of jewellery new or old, for unmarked items of gold silver or platinum we use a Niton xrf analyzer, acid testing or both, both of these methods whilst normally extremely accurate can provide false results, we offer no guarantees to the accuracy of the readings or results provided, gemstone weights are estimated within the setting unless explicitly stated and should be used as a guide rather than a guarantee, it is not possible to obtain a completely accurate weight unless removing the stone/s from the setting. 

 

Can you gift wrap my item?

Of course! many customers choose to have their items gift wrapped and sent directly to the gift recipient for that special occasion, get in touch with us prior to purchase to discuss your requirements.

 

When will I receive my item? Do you ship worldwide?

We offer free worldwide shipping on all of our items so there are no extra fees for shipping, shipping times can vary vastly depending on what part of the world you would like your item shipping to, for a more detailed estimate of timeframes it is best to contact us prior to purchase so we can offer you a tailored estimate based on your location in the world, we are UK based so all items ship from the UK, you can find lots more information on shipping here.

 

Are there any extra fees?

We do not charge for shipping costs and there are no extra fees charged by us. Depending on where you are based in the world there may be additional fees to pay such as import or customs fees, these are not set or collected by us, each local authority will have different rates and for the most accurate estimate it is advised to contact your local customs office prior to purchase, we cannot be held liable for any fees incurred as a result of customs charges or taxes or any delays caused due to customs clearance procedures.
