A beautiful antique 15ct gold Arrow and horseshoe brooch.
A slender feathered arrow with rich buttery gold tones, only found on antique gold, it has a slightly brushed finish giving it some realistic texture.
To the centre of the arrow there is a gold horseshoe set with seed pearl, the history behind horseshoe symbolism going back many years before the Victorian era.
It has varied meaning depending on which way it is facing but is generally considered to be a lucky symbol and one which wards off bad.
Arrows were a symbol of love, naturally emerging from the use of cupids arrow to spread love but they can also symbolise freedom and independence.
This brooch has so much sentiment packed into such a beautiful piece, it was certainly created to provide the wearer with good vibes.

It has an old C type clasp and pin fastener, slight bend in the pin but still holds well.
