This spectacular piece is a large size possibly to be worn as an upper arm bangle, designed to be worn higher up on the arm.
The Art Deco Egyptian revival period is one period that saw arm bangles rise in popularity along with natural and animal motifs such as snakes and scarabs.
It has been a style that has adorned the arms of people for thousands of years from the ancients to today and they still hold the same mystic vibes as they did back then.
It is crafted as a coiled snake with a smooth polished body and a happy expression, the head and tail meeting around the front and the snake has diamond point eyes.
Antique upper arm bangles are really hard to find especially in precious metals and this would have been an expensive piece back in the 20s, worn to the most exuberant events.
The bangle is hollow and is easy to wear, it does not have any fasteners and is designed to hug the arm in a crossover style and is a circular shape.
