A beautiful antique Scottish agate and sterling silver knot brooch.
An attractive lightly engraved silver knot inset with various agates of different colours.
There is red Jasper with some lovely clear accents, mustard agate and bloodstone, giving a lovely colour pop to the cool silver.
It is a fairly large sized brooch but is hollow so it is not overly heavy.
Unmarked, tests as sterling silver, C1880s.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, some light surface wear commensurate with age, a few tiny dings moreso on the reverse.
Approx measurements:
2" width
1.10" length
Weighs approx 8.50 grams
