Antique Bohemian Garnet flower ring, 9ct gold, Victorian

A mesmerising and magically alluring antique Garnet ring.

This is an early Victorian ring and you can see elements of Georgian influence within it's design.

In rich 9ct rose tone gold it is has a slightly tapering yet chunky cigar style band.

The face houses a gorgeous array of rich red Bohemian Garnet, rose cut stones with a round one to the centre and pear shaped ones making up the petals.

Inbetween each Garnet petal there is a small gold bead and this further enhances the charm of this wonderful historic piece.

The flower looks almost like a poinsettia, this flower was associated with success and good cheer.

Marks and era:
Unmarked tested for 9ct gold, early Victorian era c1860s

Condition:
Good used condition overall, some age commensurate surface wear and signs of use, light wear to the band, band slightly off round with thinning to the reverse, stones with minor nibbles and scratches, reverse of the face appears to have had a locket back but currently no glazing
