An outstanding antique, late Victorian era Essex crystal horse brooch or pin.
A reverse carved and enamelled rock crystal cabochon depicting a bridled horse.
The cabochon is mounted into a closed back 9ct gold setting and is further mounted onto a slender gold bar.
This piece is very versatile and would look great worn on a lapel or as a tie pin.
It has a safety pin style fastening.
Unmarked tests as 9ct gold, late 19th century.
Approx measurements:
0.55" length at the longest point
2.17" width at the widest point
Weighs approx 4.22 grams
Condition:
Good used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, light bend in the pin.
