A charming antique Georgian rose cut diamond navette shaped ring.
This ring has obviously had quite a life and it is showing some scars and wear but if you can look past its flaws you have a ring full of old charm and character.
A navette shaped setting in sterling silver set with 7 old rose cut, foil backed diamonds, the largest to the centre with a further 6 surrounding the larger stone.
It has a 9ct Rose gold band with a split shoulders and light bright cut engraved detailing, possibly a replacement but of a similar age and an older replacement.
It's silver setting is closed back and the diamonds vary in size.
The larger stone has a crack running diagonally across one corner and the foil backing on the stones has tarnished leaving a darker warm glow to the stones.
They still have a wonderful sparkle which flickers under low light due to the old style Rose cut.
It is Unmarked, late 18th / early 19th century.

Fair used condition overall, surface wear commensurate with age and use, slight mishaping to the band, face sits slightly skew on the band, largest diamond with a surface reaching crack across the corner, discolouration to the foil backing.
