A handsome antique sterling silver cigarette box.
This is an early Edwardian box, cedar lined with slot in sides that can be moved or repositioned, the box could also be used as a cigar box.
It has a smooth plain polished finish with a slightly domed lid.
The box is fully hallmarked with short hallmarks to the rim and full marks to the side of the box, hallmarks for sterling silver, Birmingham assay office, 1902, maker AJ Zimmerman.
A fine antique box by a renowned silversmith with a good weight to it.
It has a black leather covered base.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, light surface wear commensurate with age and use, some polish residue around the rim of the leather base.
