A beautiful antique Victorian 15ct gold longuard or muff chain necklace.
It has fine yellow gold belcher / rolo type links with attractive interlocking spacer links intercepted by smooth gold beads.
The chain is nice and long when not doubled at 45", it has a gorgeous chunky yellow gold chunky spring ring attached.
Presents beautifully when both doubled and worn as a single strand, perfect for showcasing your favourite antique pendant, locket or pocket watch.
Such a beautifully designed chain.
It is unmarked, the chain and fastener both test as 15ct gold, English make, C1870s / 80s.
Approx measurements:
45" total length including spring ring
Approx 11.20 grams
Condition:
Good used condition overall with some light surface wear and patina, a few tiny dings to some links.
