A gorgeous antique Carnelian Cross pendant.
This is a very large sized cross at 3.25" length and it really stands out.
Lovely bands of varying shades running through the Carnelian from deeper reddish orange to clear.
It has a gold plated loop through the top for hanging from a chain or necklace.
The cross has rough cut ends to both sides and the base.
Perfect as an oversized or statement pendant, this would look great added to a chunky gold longuard chain or a ribbon necklace.
Unmarked, Victorian era, Scottish origin, c1890s.
Condition:
Fair used condition overall with signs of age and use, rough cut ends, a couple of tiny nibbles around the edges.
Approx measurements:
3.25" length with bale
1.80" width
