A large antique, Victorian era Scottish silver and agate brooch.
Decorative and heavy engraved sterling silver set with four curved agate and hardstone cabochons.
The centre is set with a lovely faceted cairngorm stone which is a member of the quartz family found in the Scottish Mountains.
A gorgeous design and beautiful craftsmanship.
The brooch has an old C type clasp fastening with a base metal pin.
Unmarked, tests as sterling silver, Victorian era.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, some light surface wear, overall patina.
Approx 1.5" width and just under 1.5" length, it weighs approx 10.38 grams
