Antique Victorian silver medal pendant, Medallion, Agriculture
Antique Victorian silver medal pendant, Medallion, Agriculture
A wonderfully interesting piece here.
I truly love this piece it is so rich in history and Victorian design, there are two medals made from sterling silver, each with a beautifully engraved script to them.
One side reads United East Lothian Agricultural Society, 1897, won by Mr Ure, Abbey Mains.
The other side; Presented by D Riddell, Blackhall Paisley, For the best foal got by any of his horses.
The pair are mounted into this fantastic French silver mount with a dolphin bale.
This piece makes for a wonderful and interesting pendant that would look great hung from an antique silver long chain.
It is a fairly large and weighty piece.
