A stunning antique, Victorian era mourning locket pendant.
Smooth highly polished rich black onyx with a central gold star motif that is set with rich creamy pearls.
The bale is enamelled in black over the rich 15ct gold.
To the reverse there is a locket panel, bordered in gold, there is no glass or cover present, currently holding an old sepia photograph.
Such a beautiful piece of mourning jewellery.
English make, late 19th century, marked 15ct to the bale though this is slightly worn.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, some age commensurate light wear and signs of use, no glazed panel.
Approx measurements:
1.25" width
2.10" length including the bale.
