A beautiful antique Scottish agate and sterling silver celtic knot brooch.
An attractive lightly engraved silver knot inset with beautiful Montrose agate slabs in greys and white.
It is circular in shape with a bar and knot across the centre.
It is a fairly large sized brooch, hollow but with a good weight to it.
Unmarked, tests as sterling silver, C1860s.
Condition:
Fair used condition overall, some light surface wear commensurate with age, a couple of small dings to the silver, some minor nibbles to the agate.
Approx measurements:
1.75" width
1.75" length
0.75" depth
Weighs approx 8.50 grams
