Antique Bohemian Garnet ribbon brooch, 8ct Rose gold

There is something so magical and mystical about antique Bohemian garnet pieces.

The rich deep red stones that shimmer from the faceted cuts, dancing flashes of wine red glistening over the path it casts in the light.

This antique Bohemian garnet ribbon brooch is one such piece with its pretty fluid scrolling design contrasting with the deep gothic red of the stones in a wonderful unison.

It has an ornate starburst style frame adorned with rich bohemian garnets and is set into a rose gold frame with a closed back.

The ribbon passes through this central oval or buckle and it is a lovely unique and interesting design, not a commonly seen one.

It has an old c type clasp and pin fastener.

Marks and era:
Unmarked, tests as approx 8ct gold, Edwardian era, C1900s.

Condition:
Fair used condition overall, surface wear and signs of use commensurate with age, some surface scratches and small nibbles to some of the stones.
