A beautiful antique Art Deco era Jadeite Jade bead necklace.
Lovely apple green beads, with beautiful variations in the colourway from almost white to darker green streaks, all delicately hand shaped and tightly knotted onto a cotton thread.
The beads are all imperfectly round being hand crafted and the time and patience that has gone into creating this piece is evident, the larger beads are intercepted by smaller beads.
They are a good size, approx 10.6mm largest beads and are quite heavy.
The necklace has a gold plated spring ring clasp which appears to be a replacement, Unmarked, c1910s.
A classic and timeless piece.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, some light surface wear commensurate with age, some light surface wear on the beads, some with small nicks and possible repair, two end beads with large chip see photos.
Approx measurements:
23" total length
Beads approx 10.6mm max size.
Weigh approximately 58 grams.
