A gorgeous antique Victorian Scottish agate and Silver brooch or kilt pin.
It is a large size with a lobed circular shape, open centred.
The brooch is set with 4 large carved, beautiful grey and white banded montrose agates, each has a raised profile lightly engraved in a shell shape.
The montrose agates are intercepted with rich red moss agates, these have a lower profile and sit flat against the brooch.
The reverse has a dark grey slate back.
The brooch has an old c type clasp fastener.
Unmarked, tests as sterling silver, c1880s.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, a few tiny nicks to the stones, general signs of use and wear.
