Antique Victorian spider brooch, silver and paste

A gorgeous antique late Victorian spider brooch in sterling silver and paste.

Love them or loathe them spiders make for some beautiful pieces of antique jewelry and this chap is no exception!

Lovely detailing the spider is crafted in a sterling silver frame with an Amethyst paste body and glistening diamond paste set head, he is mounted on a sterling silver bar brooch fitting with nice arrow cut engraved ends which give it an extra sparkle.

Unmarked, tests as sterling silver, c1900, English make.

Condition:
Good used condition overall, light aged patina, signs of use and wear commensurate with age.
