An exceptionally beautiful pair of vintage 18ct gold scarab earrings.
They are dangly drop earrings, the bottom modelled as a scarab beetle, mounted to a gold tablet with the reverse featuring hieroglyphics in light relief.
The scarab drops are suspended from a latch back ear wire fitting with a pelmet of lotus flower design.
These are beautiful earrings, marked to the reverse with an Egyptian makers mark and on the posts, test as 18ct gold.
Likely purchased during someone's travels sometime during the 70s.

Good used condition overall, signs of use and wear, slight misshapen areas to the ear wires.
