This amazing vintage, Art Deco era Dove of Peace pendant is honestly something else!
Magnificent attention to detail and superbly designed, this is a very large and heavy pendant, possibly made as a medallion or regalia piece, it is very regal and simply enchanting.
Oval shaped is has a rich cobalt blue glass centre featuring an applied Dove holding an olive branch, also known as the dove of peace, it is made from silver gilt with a lovely golden finish and surrounding the blue glass centre it has a laurel wreath design.
This is a truly unique and wonderful piece and would be a wonderful addition to any jewellery collection!
Marks and era:
Fully hallmarked for sterling silver, Birmingham 1932, Maker Richard Spencer
Condition:
Good used condition overall with signs of age and use, some minor loss of gilding.
Approx measurements:
2.75" length including bale
1.75" width
