A beautiful vintage Art Deco era sterling silver and guilloche enamel compact.
The compact has a bright white guilloche enamel ground with a painted enamelled scene of red carnation flowers.
Internally it has a mirror and is marked Vogue, it has a patent push tap mechanism.
The compact is made from sterling silver with the lion passant to the thumb piece and is fully hallmarked on the underside for sterling silver, Birmingham assay office, 1932, maker BH&M
Condition:
Good used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, loss of gilding internally, the mirror has some inner tarnish, enamel has one knock to the top not all the way through, the enamel is lightly chipped around the edges, see photos
