A handsome vintage 9ct gold Gents wristwatch.
Made by the renowned JW Benson, movement marked JW Benson England and Swiss make.
It has a rectangular yellow gold case with a champagne enamel dial with black Arabic numerals and hands and a subsidiary second dial, very Art Deco in style.
The glass cover is slightly faceted.
It has a Swiss made movement, fully hallmarked for 9ct gold on the inner cuvette, Birmingham 1946, sponsor Mark ALD, also marked JW Benson made in England.
The watch has an attractive, good quality leather strap with a gold plated fastener, the inner of the leather stamped genuine leather.
The watch winds smoothly and is ticking nicely and it retains its original jewels.
Monogrammed on the reverse of the case in fancy script CL.
Condition:
Good working condition overall, we cannot guarantee accuracy or time keeping and a service is always advised following travel, movement runs nicely, general signs of use and wear, light surface wear, some light rubbing to the dial, strap is a later replacement.
