An impeccable antique, early Art Deco era garnet snake ring.
Coils and coils of rich 9ct Rose gold, forming the coiled body of the snake, the head is well detailed and set with a rich dark red garnet, oval cut, to the head.
The snake on this one has a happy and friendly expression.
It is a chunky antique ring, the coiled rose gold body making for a wide band.
The snake ring was catapulted into popularity when Queen Victoria received a snake ring from her beloved Albert.

Fully hallmarked for 9ct gold Chester assay office, 1916.
Condition:
Fair used condition overall, some wear and mishaping to the band, it is slightly off round with some surface wear and small dings, the stone has a few minor surface abrasions, some light thinning to the band.
Ring face Approx 12.6mm length, back of the band Approx 8.5mm width
