Antique North Star brooch, Sterling silver and Paste

A gorgeous antique paste star brooch.

A beautiful piece crafted in sterling silver with an aged patina, it depicts the North Star, loved by the Victorians for it's symbolism of hope and guidance, a protective symbol that urges us to lean on our inner compass in times of need.

The star is adorned with sparkling paste stones with plenty of shimmer and twinkle.

It has an old C type clasp and pin fastener.

This would look great adorning a lapel or as part of a neck mess across a chain.

Unmarked tests as sterling silver, Victorian era, 19th century

Condition:
Good used condition overall, some light surface wear commensurate with age and use, overall patina, pin is base metal, discolouration to a couple of paste with loss of foil backing.
