A beautiful antique, late Victorian era 9ct gold and Onyx seal fob.
It is a large seal fob with typical scrolling arches leading to an integral bale, the base holds a finely sliced onyx panel.
The matrix has not been carved and the stone would not be thick enough to do so, the onyx replaces a previous stone which has since been removed.
This is perfect worn as a pendant or for hanging from your favourite Albert chain.
It is hollow and very lightweight.
Fully hallmarked for 9ct gold, London, 1878.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, onyx is a replacement and not a solid stone.

0.75" height / length
0.6" width at the base
0.45" length
