It is a sterling silver chain with a fancy star punched chunky interlocking link, a substantial chain, it features a Maltese cross fob which is all over engraved and a Victorian silver sixpence coin charm.
The chain also has a t bar and fastens with silver dog clip fasteners.
It is a nice solid and weighty Albert chain and these are always in high demand.
A lovely antique chain, the perfect piece for displaying your favourite pocket watch and would make a lovely gift.
Marks and era:
Late Victorian era, c1880s, marked with lion passant and makers mark, chain unmarked, tests as sterling silver.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, lots of aged patina and surface wear commensurate with age, slight ding to the cross fob.
Total weight 50.23 grams.
