A gorgeous antique Albert chain, late Victorian era with large decorative silver niello links.
It has a later added, heavy antique silver fob / medallion, this is a military history fob from the 195th Infantry Brigade, Athletic Association, decorative relief design to one side, the verso is engraved; Boxing, 1917, 6 rounds contest winner.
Whoever this belonged to we know he went a full 6 rounds in the 1910's military service, that is quite an achievement!
The fob has an attractive scrolling integral bale, light patina, heavy piece.
It has a small silver screw type dog clip, you can screw the clip tightly shut.
Chain unmarked, English make, c1890's, the dog clip has a small lozenge shaped mark but this has worn, the fob is also unmarked, tests as silver, early 1900s.

15.25" total length with fob
1.5" fob length
1" fob width
Approx 26.19 grams total weight
Condition:
Good used condition overall with some light surface wear and patina, replacement dog clip, one replacement base metal link.
