An astonishing pair of antique, Victorian 22ct gold earrings.
They have two tones of gold both a deep rich yellow gold and a soft rose gold.
The details are impeccable, they are drop earrings suspended from a rose gold ear wire fitting.
The drops have a creole shape, the edges decorated with leaf and heart shapes with engraved detailing, to the centre there is a horseshoe and the horseshoe is further adorned with repousse acorns and shapes.
There is so much going on in this pair of earrings they are just stunning, stacked with Victorian sentiment with horseshoes symbolising good fortune and success, warding away bad and the acorn promoting longevity and growth.
Unmarked they test as 22ct gold.
