A beautiful, chunky Victorian 9ct Rose gold Mizpah ring.

A stunning piece with a wide face and band, applied Rose gold lettering to the front spelling out Mizpah.

Mizpah is an old Biblical Hebrew term meaning watchtower and the meaning behind Mizpah in jewellery is a sentimental one: The Lord watch between me and thee when we are absent from each other

These jewellery pieces were popular in the Victorian era and often gifted as a symbol of protection and love between two people.

With this symbolism in mind this would make for a beautiful wedding ring or gift for someone special.

Fully hallmarked for 9ct gold, Birmingham assay office, 1886, maker JM.

Condition:
Good condition overall, some light surface wear commensurate with age, tiny nick to the band up close, see photos.
