A beautiful antique Victorian, sterling silver locket pendant.
A large sized locket in the Aesthetic manner with a highly decorative front, engraved with a floral design.
The locket has a chunky integral bale which is stamped with the lion passant.
It has a velvet covered compartment inside but no glass covers.
The reverse is fully hallmarked for sterling silver, Birmingham assay office, 1890, maker John M Banks.
Condition:
Fair used condition overall, some age commensurate wear and signs of use, no glazed covers, the back of the locket has some substantial knocks and dents
Approx measurements:
1.40" width
2.5" height including the bale.
