An elaborate antique, Victorian era locket pendant and bookchain necklace.
The locket itself is large and heavy with a smooth reverse and an incredibly detailed front with a raised and applied fancy motif.
The book chain necklace has nice chunky wide links which are lightly textured on one side, it is a day to night necklace with the plain side worn in the day and the fancy textured side by night.
There are two sides to store photographs, both sides have clear glazing and a textured paper backing.
Unmarked it is English make C1880s
A very grand and elaborate duo.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, some patina and light surface wear, some wear to the gilding, applied motif has areas of soft solder which are visible.
Approx measurements:
2.25" length with bale
1.5" width
18" chain length
Approx 11.8mm link width
