An attractive antique, Victorian, Whitby Jet watch or Albert chain.
Chunky carved oval links of smooth Whitby Jet, it has a large jet hook and an additional metal clip fastener.
The chain has a small carved jet book shaped fob added to it.
A very attractive piece, suitable for men or women.
Jet was a popular choice for mourning jewellery but black jewellery was also seen in the Victorian era for fashion purposes.
