StolenAttic Returns policy
We offer our customers a comprehensive returns policy which is set in accordance with the current UK/EU legislation.
You have the right to cancel your order up to 14 days after the contract being created, where your item has already been dispatched please follow the returns procedure.
To return your item to us for any reason then please contact us at the earliest possible opportunity but within:
14 days to advise of your wish to return from date of delivery
30 days to return the item to us in the original condition from date of delivery.
Items must be returned in the original condition they were sent in and where possible using the original packaging.
Buyers are responsible for the postage costs and any subsequent expenses incurred for returning the item, including but not limited to customs charges and taxes, shipping costs, additional packaging etc.
Please ensure when returning an item that a tracked and insured service is used, we will not be liable for any damage caused to the item when being returned or for lost packages.
There must not be any changes or alterations made to any product to be returned, these changes effectively remove the item from the normal returns procedure as they are no longer the item sold originally, this particularly applies to items of an antique and/or vintage nature as most of this type of work deems the item unsaleable and/or valueless, it removes the status of item age and condition, you must pay particular attention to this when considering the resizing of jewellery items.
There are no warranties or guarantees provided on items of an antique or vintage nature and unless explicitly stated in the listing information your item will be a previously used item, which may exhibit wear, tear or damages.
We endeavour to provide the best description of any defects as possible and where applicable photographs of any defects.
If there are any problems outside of the normal returns procedure please contact us with your individual complaint, where an item is significantly not as described you may be entitled to a refund on return of the item for up to 6 months from the date of purchase, providing you can provide proof that the item does not match the description
Each individual website or payment provider will have their own time frames for claims, returns and complaints please see the individual site terms for this information.
Your statutory rights are unaffected and you may exercise these at any time.
In the interests of all parties correspondence on any claim must be in written form and either by post or email.
Unfortunately complaint or claim information cannot be discussed over the telephone.
StolenAttic will not be held responsible for any costs relating to claims put forward by the complainant in the event of an independent claim being made by the complainant.
It is the responsibility of the buyer to produce any evidence required in support of their claim and the costs incurred to produce such evidence, all supporting evidence will be independently verified as coming from an unbiased and reliable source, if submitting a claim through a third party you may be required to provide your evidence to said third party and this may be shared with us.
In the event that sources of information and evidence submitted by the buyer are unverified they will be deemed not permissable.
Please note that different sites and third party providers set time limits for reversal / refund on transactions, you must contact the third party where you are making your complaint or claim through them.
We are unable to offer you legal advice.
Your legal and statutory rights are unaffected by this notice and you are entitled to obtain free independent legal advice, your local citizens advice bureau will be able to provide you with information pertaining to your consumer rights.
