An outstanding antique, late Victorian era 9ct gold fancy link Albert chain.
This is one of the most decorative Albert chains I have seen with beautiful fancy bar and twist links consisting of bar links with twist designs within the bar itself, each bar is connected with a gold ring and an attractive shell shaped link with an almost fleur de lys design.
It is quite a rare find indeed, crafted in 9ct yellow gold with an incredible wearable and versatile 19.75" length.
The chain fastens with a dog clip to one end to a matching loop / ring to the other, it has an attached t bar in 9ct yellow gold.
This would have held a very fine pocket watch originally and was probably designed for a gentleman of some standing.
The chain is Unmarked, tests as 9ct gold throughout, late Victorian era, t bar is marked for gold.
A rare opportunity to own a very special antique Albert chain, these fancy link chains are very hard to find in longer lengths.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, overall patina and age commensurate surface wear.
Total weight 41.20 grams.
